just me and the sea

Born and bred on the North Shore of Auckland, New Zealand. I bought my first camera when I was around fifteen, about the same time I was introduced to the art of surfing. Not long after I purchased an underwater film camera and would surf/shoot with my mates every weekend, jump in the car and race straight to the local chemist for a one hour process, keeping only one or two out of twenty four shots. 

I don't pretend to be a professional photographer nor do I want to be, I just feel an overwhelming attraction to the ocean and the images I take help me relive that experience and hopefully give others a chance to share in it too.

It was difficult to write an 'about me' section, I felt like it would read just like EVERY other ocean lover or surf photographers bio but I realised there is a reason for that, we all feel the same way.

The ocean draws me in, it's so raw and real, it has no beginning or end and when I'm out there

it's just me and the sea.
